Marissa Tucker is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst serving individuals and families in Florida. She began her career working in a variety of residential settings supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through these experiences, she developed a passion for helping individuals build meaningful skills, increase independence, and improve their overall quality of life.
Marissa later transitioned into special education, teaching in both public schools and private special education settings. Her experience as a special educator strengthened her commitment to individualized instruction, evidence-based practices, and collaborative approaches to supporting individuals with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Most recently, prior to relocating to Florida, Marissa worked as a Positive Behavior Supports Clinician, providing behavioral services across residential group homes throughout Massachusetts. In this role, she collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and direct support professionals to develop and implement individualized behavior support plans that promoted independence, skill development, and meaningful improvements in quality of life.
Marissa earned her Bachelor of Arts from Western Governors University in 2022, followed by a Master of Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Merrimack College in 2024. She went on to earn a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Fitchburg State University in August 2026. Her background in both special education and adult residential services provides her with a unique perspective on behavior analysis and the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
In March 2026, Marissa relocated to Florida with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children, exploring her new community, and taking advantage of Florida’s beautiful beaches and parks. She also loves spending time outdoors, making memories with friends and family. Marissa is excited to continue supporting individuals and families in her new community as part of the Behavior Basics, Inc. team!
